- What is the difference between Fun Climbing and Climb & Zip?
Fun Climbing is an activity suitable for children as young as 6 years old. These are different, separate climbing elements where you start from the ground, climb up and finish on the ground again.
Climb & Zip is possible from 7 years and at least 1.20m. For children aged 7 & 8, 3 particular routes are available. From 9 years, all 4 climbing courses are accessible.
- What if the weather is rainy?

- Is it Fun Climbing also fun for older children?
Yes definitely! This activity is definitely also challenging and also goes way up in height.
- Should the Fun Climbing a parent climbing along?
No, Fun Climbing does not require a chaperone from 13 years or older to climb with you. However, this person is desired to be present. He/she can then provide (mental) support and take photos if necessary!
- Are there any rules you have to follow?
Yes, we would like to draw your attention to our climbing regulations.
- Where can I park my car?
You can park your car for free in the car park of the Nature Gate Roovertsche Leij.
- Are you accessible by public transport?
The line bus (line 450) Tilburg - Turnhout stops at Natuurpoort de Roovertsche Leij.
- Is there a toilet available?
Yes, toilets are available in our reception venue.
- Is there facility for changing and showering?
Changing and showering is possible in the main building. It is wise to put on the right clothes in advance.
- Can I bring my own drinks and food into the Climbing & Adventure Forest?
This is not permitted. On site, you can buy food and drinks at the Klim & Avonturenbos counter or at Eet- en Drinkerij de Roovertsche Leij.
- Do I have to pay if I don't climb?
No, only those who go climbing pay. For spectators, the Klimbos is freely accessible. There are picnic tables available where you can take a seat to take fun photos!
- How long in advance do I need to be present?
You should be present 15 minutes before the start.
- I have damage to my clothes, am I insured for this?
Any damage caused to your clothing is at your own risk. This also applies, for example, to your glasses: we therefore advise you to bring your sports glasses or make sure there is a lanyard on your glasses. Please note: you will be climbing in a forest, where the trees may give off resin! Keep this in mind when choosing your clothing.
- I haven't exercised in a long time, can I handle the Klimbos?
If you are physically fit, you can also handle our routes. Before you start, you will be given instructions to then take on the challenge step by step. Do not hesitate to ask our instructors how you can overcome an obstacle more easily. We are here to help you!
- Will the climbing continue even with bad weather?
Yes, climbing can be done in many weather conditions. In doing so, the forest is extra sheltered. Only when the safety in danger, such as thunderstorms or storms, the instructor will decide to cancel the climbing. Not sure if the weather will allow climbing? Then please call.
- Am I insured while climbing?
Yes, you are insured with special insurance that covers the specific climbing forest risks.
- Are there ticks in the forest?
Yes. We recommend checking yourself and any children for tick bites after visiting the Climbing & Adventure Forest.
- Are there processionary caterpillars in the forest?
We have taken several precautionary measures to control processionary caterpillars. In doing so, we check the forest daily for caterpillars. However, we are in an adjacent large forest, so unfortunately we cannot guarantee that they are not there.
- For those not climbing along, is there anything to do?
Yes indeed. The Klimbos also has a course close to the ground (low rope course). On this course, participants who do not dare to climb can enjoy themselves. There are also cosy seats in the forest for watching and photographing the climbers.
- How often do you get to go through the climbing courses?
In principle, you may go through all courses once. In case there is time left, we will decide which course can be done again. Experience shows that there is often still time to do the course a 2nd time.
- Do I need to choose a course in advance?
No, you choose which course you do after the instructions and the practice course, depending on the crowds. You have the option of doing all 3 courses.
- If I don't dare go on, what then?
If you find yourself halfway through the course and are not so sure how to proceed, our experienced instructors will give tips and help you as best they can.
- Can I use my own climbing equipment?
Using your own climbing equipment is not allowed.
- How long can I use the climbing forest?
You may use the climbing forest for 2 hours.
- How much is the maximum weight to climb in the Klimbos?
This is 110 kg.
- I am in a wheelchair and would like to come and climb, how does that work?
You are most welcome! Our Klimbos has a wheelchair-friendly course with a zip line. Please let us know at least 3 days in advance which day and time you wish to climb so we can take this into account in our planning.
- Can I combine the climbing forest with a Rocks 'n Rivers activity?
Yes you can. At www.rocks-n-rivers.nl, you can fill in the request form. We will then get in touch with you. Rocks 'n Rivers owns the Climbing & Adventure Forest and can therefore easily think along with you.
